Represented Ahmed Nasir Taalil Mohamud, a cab driver from Anaheim, California, a man accused of conspiring to provide aid to Al-Shabaab, a brutal and militant foreign terrorist organization in Somalia. Mohamud was accused of organizing fundraising efforts for Al-Shabaab amongst fellow Orange County cab drivers. The government alleged that Mohamud was able to raise nearly $1,000, to be used to support the organization’s attempted overthrow of the country’s transitional government.
